Welcome at Camping Villar



Camping Villar is situated in the village of Villar San Costanzo, at the beginning of the beautiful Maira Valley and right in the Ciciu Park where very interesting mushroom like stone structures, have been formed by thousands of years of erosion, making this village a turist attraction.

The Mairy Valley, with its 45 km one of the longest in the Cuneo area, offers turists a myriad of possibilities, right up to the highest point, Chiappera, where the majestic alpine tops offer an unforgettable view! Cuneo, being the nearest major city, located 18 km from Villar, is a beautiful city with a wonderful piazza where the general market on Tuesday always attracts many people. Smaller cities as Dronero 3km, Caraglio 7km and Busca 6km, all have their own charms and many beautiful churches etc. to visit.

There are many gastronomical routes that allow one to taste the typical products and wines, famous all over the world.

Turist trips are available in many varieties: mountain walks, city walks, mountain biking, canoeing, horseback rides, or simply by car or camper. Right behind the campground is a spot from where delta fliers and para-sailers take off, which by the way, offers a beautiful sight. The beautiful beaches and gorgeous towns on the Ligurian Sea are located about 90 km from the camping. The drive there, takes one through beautiful alpine sceneries, on well maintained, wide roads.

As mentioned, located in the direct vicinity, are large towns such as Cuneo (capital of the province), Alba, Saluzzo, Fossano and Mondoví. All cities full of history and culture with their monuments, churches and markets. Furthermore, every little town right outside of the camping can be considered of turistic interest, beginning with the church of Villar San Costanzo from the VI Century, Dronero, Busca, Caraglio (at the beginning of the Grana Valley, which is also extremely beautiful), and Fontanelle with its beautiful church with adjacent park, an imitation of Lourdes in France.
